Our school was founded in 1950 in a house in the district of San Isidro, fulfilling the dream of a group of parents who wanted to provide first-class education to their children. They decided to open the first Educational Services Cooperative in Peru, with 103 families that shared the same values and ideals.
Mr. Manuel Sánchez Palacios was the first President of the Cooperative and with the support of the United States Embassy, he managed to hire Ms. Alice Allen, the first North American Principal of our School. With the rapid growth of our institution, in 1981 we expanded the facilities and inaugurated our current site in La Molina.
Educational Proposal: We develop international mindedness in our students by fostering attributes of the IB Learning Community Profile. The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international organization that offers four programs focused on developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through education that builds intercultural understanding and respect.
At Abraham Lincoln we work with three of the IB Programs, the PYP – Primary Years Program, the MYP – Middle Years Program and the DP – Diploma Program, that motivate our students to adopt an active learning attitude throughout their lives.
We have agreements with educational institutions and organizations, both national and international, to share good practices and promote the professional development of our students and teachers.
