Vilnius International School was founded in 2004 by a group of parents and educators from Denmark, Finland, Lithuania and the United States, each of whom sought an educational experience for their children different from that available in Vilnius at the time. They envisioned a school that reflected the values of a democratic and multi-cultural society, while paying homage to Lithuanian culture and tradition.

Our Facilities: Our school is located on a cobblestone street hidden at the base of Latako street. Facilities include a gym, assembly hall, computer lab, library and a spacious cafeteria and kitchen, comfortable open work areas and an enclosed courtyard for outside play.

Student Support: VIS is committed to meeting the needs of the students in our care, whether this be academic, social or emotional. Support for student achievement and well-being comes in many forms ranging from differentiating instruction to identifying a peer mentor to support adjustment to their new environment.

Often, student support is provided in a more targeted manner by a teacher or school counselor. This may come in the form of English language instruction, learning support provided by the inclusion coordinator, learning enrichment opportunities, counseling advice when engaging in course selection or university admissions, or emotional and psychological consultations by a school psychologist.

After School Activities: After school clubs and activities begin here at VIS from Monday, September 12th. We have many exciting clubs for students to choose from to suit all ages.

If you wish for your child to participate in a club please register by emailing your child’s homeroom teacher. For Yoga, Singing and Hip Hop.
